Where do you begin to create a stunning home at Christmas?

The tree of course is the focal point and decorating it is often like going down memory lane. As you hang your Baubles, lots of Christmas memories spring to mind from the past and present. It’s great to mix up the things you hang from your tree from shiny Baubles to natural accessories. I know I have 26 years of Baubles. I bought many along the way when traveling, you could always get amazing accessories from New York which were unusual then, but now we have caught up and there are really some amazing items for sale on most high streets. I have wonderful things my son made me when he was at school for the tree that I would never get rid of. Decorating the tree is a not about the most beautiful designer tree, it is about what it should be, Family, love  and sharing.

Hanging a Christmas wreath on the front door always looks so welcoming.

On trend at the moment are wreaths made of Peacock, Pheasant and various other feathers. You do not need to restrict your colour palette to red and green. Add burst of colour and textures to your room. Fairy lights twinkling away are magical and bring to life the Christmas Spirit. Choosing a real tree  does bring that wonderful pine fragrance throughout the house but does need looking after. I love a real tree but there are some pretty fab artificial trees out there so really go for whatever you prefer.
